Edens Garden Essential Oils, My New Obsession.

Hello and welcome to Emeralds And Ivy! This is my first blog/blog post so stay with me. I recently ordered a set of Edens Garden essential oils from amazon.com and in the process have fallen in love with them. The set is called the top 6 set and comes with 6 adorable little glass jars of eucalyptus,peppermint,lemon,lavender,tea-tree and lastly sweet orange. I originally ordered them to make homemade bath salts with and had absolutely no idea they were so versatile,i use them for everything. I highly recommend warming all of them (except tea tree) in a oil warmer for extra freshness in the home.

Eucalyptus (my personal favorite)
  • Clears up congestion, mix with coconut oil and rub on chest (or just add about 20 drops to warm bath water)
  • Soothes insect/ mosquito bites (mix with coconut oil)
  • Sore muscles (mix with coconut oil/rub on affected area)
Peppermint

  • Eases headache (mix with coconut oil) rub on temples, forehead and back of neck.
  • Spider and insect repellent (put a few drops around your doors) or just rub with a cottonball.
  • Mix with a plain scented lotion for a grade A foot rub.
Lemon

  • Laundry refresher (add a few drops in with your laundry detergent)
  • Mix water with the oil together for the perfect stainless steel cleaner.
  • A few drops to the dishwasher for spot free dishes.
Lavender

  • Wash bedding with a few drops for a peaceful sleep,
  • Rub on the wrists (mix with coconut oil) for a calming effect.
  • Homemade face scrub for dry skin. Just mix brown sugar coconut oil and a few drops of lavender.
Tea Tree
  • Mix with witch hazel to dry out pimples.
  • Mix with coconut oil to remove makeup.
  • Mix with coconut oil to soften dry cuticles.
  • This one is for the man of your house, to get rid of foot odor mix with bath salts and baking soda and soak those puppies!
Sweet Orange

  • Add a few drops to cleaning products, for an extra boost of freshness.
  • Add a few drops to the next batch of brownies (deelicious)
  • Add a few drops to the inside of your toilet paper roll.
  • If there is a chef in your house (like mine) add to the yucky greasy laundry.

What do you use your essential oils for?
